Dr. Sophia Johnson is an optometrist at Advanced Eye Care & Aesthetics who graduated from The State College of New York: College of Optometry. She is trained in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease, contact lens fitting, as well as pre- and post-operative management.
Dr. Johnson does research on the effect of breaks on the symptoms of DES (Digital Eye Strain) and to determine the optimal length and frequency of these breaks. In developing the optimum timescale, this will lead to developing an evidence-based, clinical recommendation to improve the lifestyle and visual efficiency of millions of patients.
In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys working in organized optometry as an avid member of the National Optometric Association and immediate past president of the NOSA. She also enjoys mentoring young adults, traveling, watching Sci-Fi shows and spending time with friends and family.
